It is a small field guide that would be useful for anyone planning on collecting shells in New Zealand. While most of the specimens can be found in other shell reference books, this is a nice concise little guide. The book has 40 nice plates in color and it is only 4.5 by 7.5 inches. Pages are not numbered by shells are indexed by plate number. Published in 1999.
